Woke up to the sound of light rain and calming sounds of leaves rustling. It's been awhile since our last island vacation and I almost forgot what it was like. Today is A's 30th birthday, and although, this wasn't our original plan, I can't say this isn't a better way to spend his special day. We've got lots of things planned for the day, so we'll definitely have plenty of things to share later =) Hope you're all well and having fun wherever you are in the world.

We're taking a little bit of a break to celebrate A's 30th birthday at sunny T & C. We'll be back in a few days!

 Speaking of new ventures, my bestfriend's cake shop opened on the weekend. Welcome to your new favourite cake store: Cake Rolls!

 Her store was custom designed by the very talented interior designer, Ms. Marife Nepomuceno. Love the decor and coordinating colours and accents she used to put together Wheng's second home.

Wheng created custom cake samples all throughout the store to inspire future cake buyers. 

Sisters from another mother. The girls who laboured and worked together all week to help with clean-up and start-up. 

I can't tell you how proud I am of my bestfriend. I remember talking to her many years ago about our dream of putting up a cake shop and here she is, living her dream, without fear of whatever challenges that may lie ahead. She is truly an inspiration to all of us who dream of being successful in doing the things we love. Bru, I hope you know I'm here to support you every step of the way. You're the best!

pink loves chocolate handmade cards are making a comeback! Our dear friend's much awaited cake shop is opening soon, and these cards will be available for sale at her store. Check these out!

Another cool find while we were in NYC were these cool glass jewelry from Momo Glassworks. They had a shop at Bryant Park as part of a fair and I couldn't help but admire their beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry. I bought a pair of earrings, which is not in their website yet, but here are the other cool stuff that can be bought online from their website.

While searching for cool photography inspired products to give out to those who joined our Win an Instax contest, we randomly stumbled upon Kikkerland Design Inc. They have the most innovative and interesting ideas from a group of designers whose creativity seems limitless. These are examples of products that can be found on their website.
